Shelbie began dancing at the age of 3 and never stopped! She began competing at the.age of 8 in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern. In highschool, Shelbie was a member of the Haltom Highsteppers for four years and a lieutenant officer for two years. After highschool, she continued to choreograph and teach dance classes for teams and individuals while she attended the University of North Texas. After completing a Master's degree at Texas Woman's University, she began teaching dance classes part time at a studio with the goal of instilling her love of dance into her students. Shelbie loves sharing her passion for dance with all students and believes that dance can be an empowering experience at any age.

I began dancing at age 9 at a studio where I took ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical. I danced in several competitions in San Antonio and Las Vegas. I continued to dance through high school when I joined the drill team as a freshman, then went on to cheer in high school and cheered for several years at Weatherford College and The University of Texas at Arlington before graduating with a Bachelor's in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Texas at Dallas. I have taught dance and cheer classes for a local sports league and am currently teaching at the Dojo. After having two daughters who also love to dance, I was inspired to start teaching and sharing my love and passion for dance with them and others. Dancing has always been a part of my life and is a fine art that I believe is truly beautiful, expressive, and special. My hope is to extend that love and passion to my students.

Coach Belle began dancing at age 5 in the Vaganova ballet method. She has studied ballet, lyrical, pointe, jazz, character dancing, hip hop, ballroom, and contemporary dance. She received her Cecchetti Level V certification in ballet, and was a corps member of the Macomb Ballet Company in Michigan. She has danced in productions such as the Nutcracker and Peter and the Wolf and has danced alongside the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Her passion for dance is rooted in the ability dance gives its students to display their uniqueness through creative movement and character performances. She enjoys blending her martial arts and dance training to create unique takes on traditional ballets like the Nutcracker.
